Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
CranioSacral Therapy(CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the physiological body system (also called the craniosacral system). This system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a light touch, generally no greater than 5 grams, practioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system. This has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as other body systems, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory and more.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) offers a unique approach to healing. The techniques focus on releasing tightness and tension any where in the body that may be contributing to difficulties with feeding, torticollis, plagiocephaly, nervous system regulation, digestion, fussiness/colic, and musculoskeletal restrictions. CST can minimize or eliminate the repercussions of a difficult or traumatic birth. CST specifically helps baby's with feeding difficulties by improving relaxation and mobility in tongue, jaw, cheeks, lips and palate. It helps to optimize mobility before frenectomy procedures and supports healing and improved function afterwards. I believe that CST helps to enhance the body’s natural healing abilities, allowing babies and their families to find peace and relaxation.

Reiki is a form of energy healing using "Universal Life Force" energy. Reiki aims to increase flow of energy and release any blockages. It aims to balance the energy centers within your body which helps induce relaxation and supports our body's natural healing process. Reiki works on the level below the surface of our conscious mind which, is often occupied with thoughts and worries, to promote overall well-being.
Integrating Reiki into your CranioSacral Therapy sessions can enhance your healing journey by addressing both physical and energetic dimensions of health. It can be added at no additional charge.
Reiki sessions can also be done remotely, over the phone or zoom.

Heart Centered Therapy is a specialized dialoguing technique guided by the wisdom of the heart. This method harnesses the natural ability of the heart to facilitate the healing of our consciousness, dissolving beliefs and emotions that may have caused physical or emotional pain, confusion, or a sense of separation. Heart Centered Therapy allows for profound healing without the need to relive past traumas. By directly engaging with the heart's inherent knowledge, the core of an issue can be respectfully revealed and gentle but profound resolution achieved. As we are held in the safety, love and compassion of the heart, we are free to discover who we truly are.
Heart Centered Therapy can be integrated into your in person CranioSacral Therapy session or in a distance session via phone or zoom.
I have been practicing Heart Centered Therapy for over 15 years. I have completed and assisted with the 4 levels of Heart Centered Therapy. For more information please visit. https://chiklyinstitute.com/HCT (https://chiklyinstitute.com/HCT)
Distance healing sessions blend Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy and Heart Centered Therapy and are focused on relaxation, energetic balance, and nervous system support. Although we are not phyiscally together, I am able to "tune in" to the physical and energetic body through intention, visualization and meditative focus. I use distance Reiki to channel universal life force energy, Craniosacral Therapy to support release of tension patterns and regulate the nervous system, and Heart Centered Therapy to connect body, heart, mind and spirit.
Clients have reported feeling deep relaxation, emotional release, a sense of mental clarity or knowing, an awareness of the connections inside and around them as well as an overall feeling of well being. A recording of the session can be provided.
I may be able to provide a super bill for some in person sessions, that includes all of the necessary information for you to submit directly to your private insurance carrier (including HSA, FSA, etc). I do not bill insurance directly. When you submit the superbill to your insurance carrier, it will likely go towards your out of network benefits.
If your treatment is from an out-of-network provider, you may need to meet your out-of-network deductible before your insurance starts covering costs of Physical Therapy. The out-of-network deductible is the amount you must pay out of pocket for covered services before your insurance plan begins to contribute.
Here are steps to consider regarding meeting your out-of-network deductible:
1. Review Your Insurance Policy: Understand the specifics of your insurance plan. Look for details on in-network and out-of-network coverage, deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance.
2. Determine Out-of-Network Coverage: Find out what your plan covers for out-of-network providers. Some plans may cover a portion of out-of-network costs after the deductible is met, while others may not cover them at all.
3. Check Deductible Status: Determine if you've already met your out-of-network deductible for the year. If not, you'll likely need to meet it before your insurance starts covering out-of-network treatment costs.
Even if you get treatment from an in-network provider, it important to understand your Physical Therapy benefits. You may have to meet your deductible before you can receive coverage for treatment. You may also have a co-payment or co-insurance for each treatment. You may call in-network providers to find out what the cost is for an evaluation and treatment to help you determine what your out of pocket cost might be for treatment. My charges are below local clinic charges so that out of pocket expenses are often very similar.
I am able to offer a 10% discount when you book three sessions. You can choose to pay in advance for all three sessions to receive this discount. Alternatively, if you prefer, we offer a 30% discount applied to the third session when you attend all three.
For those who may need financial assistance, I also provide a sliding scale option. If you require this, please reach out to us personally, and I will be happy to work with each person based on their individual needs. My goal is to make CranioSacral Therapy accessible to everyone.
